Hi Downtown Dharma community!,

It was wonderful to practice together around my new book (out this week!) Sometimes You Should Be Late.

Given the focus of this group on community, I wanted to share that this Saturday at Politics and Prose I'll be in conversation with Rebecca Davis, whose wonderful documentary Join or Die explores the importance of community and belonging.

We’ll be talking about how urgency and speed can pull us away from the people and moments of connection with those around us.I’d be delighted to see some Downtown Dharma faces there -- should be a full house!

• Politics and Prose Conn. Ave location 5015 Connecticut Avenue 
• 5:00 PM with an after party in their downstairs coffee shop/lounge after!
