[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] Downtown Dharma Survey Results and why to attend the Community Board meeting

Greetings,

In addition to Nate's invite, I'd like to share the Downtown Dharma survey results from a few months ago and encourage folks to attend the volunteer board meeting on November 15!

One recurring survey result was to have more community events in addition to existing events like Sunday sit, book club, etc. We couldn't agree more! For this reason, we invite all of you to the volunteer board meeting so you can share your ideas and find support to create more opportunities for connection with sangha members during the week. If you are available and seeking deeper community connections, please consider coming to the volunteer board meeting on Friday, Nov. 15 at 6pm at DC Writer's Salon in Adams Morgan. RSVP here

Hi all,

On November 15 we will continue our tradition of hosting a quarterly board meeting run by the community. We'll discuss the future of the Sangha while enjoying pizza and potluck dishes.

These are open to the entire Sangha, and are a chance to brainstorm about what we want the future of our Sangha to look like and what actions or initiatives we should take to get us there. Some of the actions that came out of previous meetings were: leading a Downtown Dharma retreat in September, creating posters with our mission statement, having greeters on Sunday nights, etc.

When: Friday November 15, 6:00pm

Where: DC Writer's Salon, 1807 18th St NW, Washington, DC 20009
