[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] Re: Tonight: Insight Dialogue Inspired by the Sangha

Downtown Dharma Friends,

Thank you for the spirited Insight Dialogue session fueled by wisdom from our Sangha. Jackie and I so appreciated the quotes, mantras, and song lyrics offered as inspiration for our practice.

Thank you for the opportunity to share how relational practice has brought insight to our interactions with others. We hope you encounter more opportunities to share what's happening for you authentically, to witness and fully listen to another, and to sense the truth and learning that emerges in the present moment.

We are grateful for the Downtown Dharma community, the friendships it fosters, and the chance to practice with you all this past Sunday.

Have a great week,

Audrey and Jackie

Hello Downtown Dharma Friends!

Jackie and I are excited to be with you all this Sunday for a co-facilitated Insight Dialogue session celebrating the insight within the community. Building on Thigh Naht Hahn’s quote, “The next Buddha will be the Sangha,” we will speak to and practice with inspiration from one another.

We are relational beings, and Insight Dialogue brings special attention to the complexities that accompany being with others. This interpersonal meditation works with the moment-to-moment experience of interacting with one another and brings the dynamic of mediation to our relationships. Tonight we’ll practice this relational dynamic with contemplations that resonate with members of our Sangha.

We have a special request for this session. Before we meet, we invite you to reflect on any quotes, poems, or song lyrics that are resonating for you - or ones that you've created yourself. What is something sparking insight or contemplation for you? Anyone interested will have the opportunity to contribute these quotes, poems, or song lyrics as examples of truth and resonance to the practice this Sunday.

Looking forward to being with you all!

Audrey and Jackie
