[Downtown Dharma Sangha Listserv] Tomorrow at Downtown Dharma: Mistakes as the gateway to happiness

Dear beloved sangha,

Misteaks (whoops), we all make ‘em! The problem is that many of us, certainly me, can blow mistakes up out of proportion and get caught up in a vortex of negative thinking, and even actions, after making a mistake.

The dharma turns this mistake mindset on its head. Careful and compassionate examination of our response to mistakes opens a gateway to the path of understanding ourselves and connecting with all things; in other words, happiness!

Tomorrow at 7:00 pm we’ll do some get-to-know each other; meditate; I’ll share some reflections from a zen perspective on mistakes; and we’ll have small group conversations.

This is a wonderful opportunity to gather in spiritual community and make new friends. Come join!

🙏🏻♥️

A reminder if you're joining us in person: please arrive at least 10 minutes early as the line to check in can be long. There are plenty of friends to make while you're waiting for the formal program to begin.
