Greetings Dear Sangha,
(Previously on Downtown Dharma) A few weeks ago, we explored the various ways our practice can get derailed, specifically by the Five Hindrances. We looked at how, despite our good intentions and energized efforts, it can all go so wrong, both on and off the cushion.
This Sunday, we'll investigate the contrasting possibility: how the path of awakening can naturally unfold. If you will, this is how it can all go so right. Even if you weren't there two weeks ago, it can be so helpful to understand how we might invoke and pursue the Seven Factors of Awakening. Not just a list but a dynamic process, the seven factors can lead to wholesome states of being and is itself a teaching, revealing the beauty of working skillfully with our minds.
After silent practice together, we'll explore the Seven Factors through a Dharma offering and connection with one another.
I hope you can join us!
