Hi All,

Just FYI we're looking to add a developer to our team.  Even if you're not sure you're interested I'd be happy to talk to you about it..  You can find out more information from the link below.  The post is geared towards someone with just a few years experience but we'd love to talk to more senior developers.  We have the flexibility to tune the position to the individual.

You're welcome to reach out to me directly with questions.

Thanks,
Steve

[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Potter's House Sunday Sangha: Continued Exploration of Craving

Dear Friends,

Hope this email finds you well. This Sunday at 6:00 pm we will gather once again at Potter's House for continued exploration of the experience of hindrance of craving. How can it be so unpleasant to want something we imagine will be pleasant? How do we experience craving? What does it feel like in the body? Can we see the moment the mind attaches to something it wants or tries to push away something it doesn't want? We will strive to understand craving better through such questions, formal practice, and exploring through dialogue. Maybe you'll even find it fun and start craving Sangha time.

We gather in the community room to the right of the register. The space has chairs available. Bring your favorite bench or cushion if you're craving that. If you'd like to help set-up, please arrive ten minutes early. The space is wheelchair accessible.

With love and metta to you all,
Paul

[Downtown Dharma Listserve] Tomorrow @ The Potters House

Good morning friends,

Sunday class at the Potters house is on tomorrow from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. The address 1658 Columbia Rd NW. We will be in the community room in the back.

This week we will continue to examine craving. Homer Simpson once said that beer "is the cause of and solution to all of life's problems." Unfortunately, his hypothesis leaves him stuck in cartoon samsara. The Buddha had a slightly different take. He said that craving is the cause of suffering, and to see it clearly is the end of suffering. The Buddha, as the story goes, saw it clearly and was released from the torments.

With that in mind, we're going to take a good look at craving this week, because who couldn't use a little bit of nibbana on a Sunday evening?

Chairs are available. You're also welcome to bring a cushion. If you'd like to help set-up, please arrive ten minutes early. The space is wheelchair accessible.

Love and blessings,

Devin
