As a reminder, we are meeting for reading group this Saturday, January 22, from 6 to 7:30 pm. Our topic is veganism (please see link to readings below). Thanks to Justin and Vince for choosing the readings!

I am hosting this time at 2360 Adams Mill Road, Unit 306. Please let me know if you plan to attend. Because our apartment building call box does not work, I will wait at the front door to let you in until about 6:05 pm. Please plan on arriving before 6 pm. 

We'll be fully masked this month, and ask that only those who have received a COVID booster shot join in person. Zoom login info is below.

For our first book club in the new year, we'll be reading a few short articles on the topic of veganism and the consumption of animal products. We are expecting a spirited discussion and hope you can make it.

The readings are below:

• A short essay describing the arguments for and against the consumption of meat and animal products from the perspective of Buddhism/scholarship.
• A Vogue article Q & A with Peter Singer, moral philosopher
• A short statement by Michael Pollan, famous food author.

The meeting will take place at 2360 Adams Mill Road, Unit 306, on Saturday, January 15th. We also might move the book club outside or remotely depending on the situation with COVID.
