Dear Downtown Sangha Family,

We look forward to our gathering this Sunday, January 9 at Yoga District Center at 1910 14th Street NW,  3rd Floor, Washington, DC 20009 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM or online via zoom: https://zoom.us/j/466237117?pwd=cGxHaTJlTVhBdldVSk8weDZuSW5udz09.

All three of our regular teachers, Devin, Kristin, and Travis will lead this special gathering to mark the beginning of 2022.  

After our regular meditation period, it's been the sangha's tradition to reflect on the Three Refuges: 

• The Buddha
• Dharma
• Sangha

Afterward, we will have an (in-person)refuge/protection cord ceremony for those who would like to participate. This annual "refuge ceremony" helps affirm and remind us of the beautiful and powerful resources of our practice which leads to individual and collective awakening.

Attending In Person-

If you would like to come in person, you will need to register with the studio and submit proof of vaccination. You will also need to wear a mask. For everyone's safety and for the viability of this offering, these requirements are not negotiable. You can register through the Yoga District scheduling site, and you can submit proof of vaccination to yogadc@yogadistrict.com or present it in person at the studio. We ask everyone to register and submit proof of vaccination ahead of time so that we don't have long delays when we all get together.

We also ask that you try to come 10 minutes early – around 6:50. This will give us time to check folks in and acclimate to what is still a new space and process for most of us. Please note that the class is held on the 3rd floor, up two flights of stairs. There are rugs, bolsters, and folding chairs for seating. Please also note that we will be staffing these events ourselves so there will be no one at the desk to admit latecomers. The doors will be closed and locked at 7:10 and no one will be admitted after that.
