Slide Show
This Sunday's topic and practice will be an opportunity to honor and hold our ancestors in kindness and gratitude. We will participate in a discussion of healing our ancestors and those that have paved the way for us to be here today.
During our time together we will join in a heart-centered practice of listening and sharing with one another. We will explore the following quote:
"I could see that suffering is not only individual; it is also collective. Suffering can be transmitted to us by our ancestors, or it can be there in the society around us."
Hanh, Thich Nhat. The Art of Living (p. 19). HarperCollins. Kindle Edition.
During my dharma share, I will explore the following questions:
In life, what does healing your ancestors' suffering look like?
How do we offer compassion as we require accountability for criminal actions and justice in our society?
Afterward, we welcome you to participate in Ruth King's Metta prayer for racial healing.
