On Saturday, April 29, IMCW will be hosting its first picnic in years, in Rock Creek Park. An excellent opportunity to connect with teachers and fellow meditators from across the region! More below.

Insight Meditation Community of Washington (IMCW) ALL-SANGHA PICNIC 

 

Saturday, April 29th 

12:00 - 3:00pm 

Rock Creek Park – Picnic Grove #24 

 

 

Join us for the IMCW All-Sangha Potluck Picnic! Come spend some relaxed down time and a potluck lunch with meditation sangha friends from across the DMV. We'll introduce you to some of our Board members and teachers, but there will be no formal program - just fun!  

 

Food: 

This event is a potluck, so if you can, bring a dish to share. Please bring serving utensils for your dish as well, and jot down the ingredients so those with sensitivities can make informed choices. Drinks will be provided. There is sure to be plenty of food, so if you are not able to bring something, don't sweat it just come as you are! 

 

Families & Pets:  

This picnic area has a playground for kids and real bathrooms. Friendly, leashed pets are welcome to attend.  

 

Directions: 

Picnic Grove #24 shares a parking lot with the William H.G. Fitzgerald Tennis Stadium, and is accessed via either Morrow Drive NW or Colorado Avenue NW, near where they intersect 16^th Street NW.  There is ample parking! 

 

For GPS geeks, the latitude is North, 39 Degrees; 65 Minutes and 71.08 Seconds Longitude is West; 14 Degrees; 29 Minutes and 11.66 Seconds.

We'll need some fun volunteers to help with this event! If you are able to come early to set up, or stay late to help clean up, please send an email to trisha.stotler@imcw.org.
